MINUTES
AGHA BOARD MEETING
JUNE 17, 2009
I. CALL TO ORDER-The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM at Mama Louise’s Restaurant by President, Randy Simpson.
II. ROLL CALL-All Board members were present.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES-Derrick Laughlin made a motion that was seconded by Dave Estes to approve the May Minutes as presented. The motion passed unanimously.
IV. ANDOVER GLEN HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION FORUM-No homeowners were present.
V. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. Xeriscape Grant-All work completed
Xeriscape Rebate-From Norm Arlt: The xeriscape rebate plants are scheduled to be installed tomorrow, Thursday, 6/18.
B. Covenant Review Plan-Attorney fee quote from Robert Hoehn, Attorney-at-Law Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons LLP: $10 K. Royal Shields will get a bid from another attorney.
C. Community Garden-Participants have been asked to pay their $35 fee by July 1, 2009; made payable to AGHA. Lynn Walton has sent a letter to all participants with this information and rules for the garden. If plots are not maintained by homeowner’s their $10 deposit will not be returned.
D. Garage Sale/Dumpster Weekend-20 homes participated; business was brisk. Good idea to do this the same weekend as Woodgate. The dumpster was full by Friday afternoon; Debra Jones called to get a second one and that also was full by the end of the weekend. Debra thanked Dick Moore for responding quickly to her request for a check for the dumpster company.
E. Garden Party, August 29, 2009-Royal Shields made a motion that was seconded by Derrick Laughlin to purchase $300 food for the event. The motion passed unanimously. Board members will be servers for the event to be held at the tennis court/gazebo to celebrate the completion of two xeriscape projects and the community garden.
F. Insurance-Derrick Laughlin responded to the questionnaire sent by our insurance provider but he has not heard back from them yet. He also inquired about liability for the garden. The renewal date is July 15, 2009; no changes are expected in coverage so we will continue with the current coverage.
VI. NEW BUSINESS
A. 2009 Spiff Awards-Anne Stellmon suggested that it would be easier to judge homes if categories are not specified. She made a motion that was seconded by Royal Shields to give 6-$25 awards at this year’s annual homeowner’s meeting in September. The motion passed unanimously.
VII. BOARD REPORTS
A. President-Randy Simpson presented a letter from the Laredo Highline Association which is a citizen sponsored initiative to make growth pay its own way. No action was taken.

D. Treasurer-Dick Moore presented the 2009-2010 for Board approval. Dick suggested that we update the reserve account for 2010 that would make allowances for special projects; currently there is $75k in the account. Anne Stellmon made a motion that was seconded by Royal Shields to approve the budget as presented. The motion passed unanimously.
E. ACC-Royal Shields reported that the Estes, Guerra, Whitford, Englestad/Wood family requests were approved.
