Andover Glen Homeowner’s Association Meeting Minutes
June 22, 2005

1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at Shalom Park at 7:05 p.m. by President Barbara Harrington.

Board Members Present: Barbara Harrington, Bob Meyer, Norm Arlt, Ron Adams, Randy Simpson, Curt Krall.


2. Unfinished Business:
* Barbara Harrington wanted to thank everyone who’s been working hard to beautify Andover Glen. It’s really looking great!.
* Bob Meyer made a motion to pay Red Mountain an additional amount of $ 100 for the plantings at the entrance way subject to resolution of the justification for the extra amount, bringing the total to $1063.42. Motion was seconded by Randy Simpson and passed unanimously.
* Specific Budget items for the 2005-2006 fiscal year were discussed and approved.

3. New Business
* Discussion relating to the “Keep Kids Alive, Drive 25” Signs and a complaint made by a AG resident about these signs violating the covenants. It was agreed that speeding in the neighborhood is a big problem and that safety weighs greater than other concerns. Ron Adams made a motion to purchase 4 new signs, (as 3 have been stolen). Bob Meyer seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
* Bob Meyer made a motion that the Association make a $100 appreciation contribution to Shalom Park for the monthly use of their meeting facilities. It was seconded by Ron Adams. The motion passed unanimously.

Board Reports:
President - Barbara Harrington:
* Barbara collected the old brass letters from the previous Andover Glen sign and took them to be recycled. She was paid $47.50 for the letters and the money was deposited into the Andover Glen treasury.

Safety – Bob Meyer
* Bob reported that approximately 28 to 30 households participated in the flower give-away.

Vice President – Dave Kline
Absent.

Treasurer – Jan Guerra
Absent (Norm Arlt submitted budget information for Jan).

Welcoming – Cindy Wagner
Absent

Social – Curt Krall
* Estimated that about 20 homes had participated in the Garage Sale weekend.

Grounds - Norm Arlt
* Norm has been fixing tennis court cracks
* Norm will build mulch beds around tennis courts.
* Emerald Isle contract billing was $1340.29
* Edgewater billing at $575.
* Thanks to Ron Adams for donating a Rose of Sharon shrub, planted tennis courts by Ron and Quink Arlt.
* Gazebo Roofing is complete.
* Increased watering on flowers at entrance way.
* A new Membership Directory was put together by Norm.

Secretary – Randy Simpson
* Randy requested that any items for the Gazette be sent to him as soon as possible.

Preservation – Ron Adams
* Ron submitted a Property Improvements Request from Terri Henkel at 14134 E. Layton Dr. for Xeriscaping in the front lawn with rocks and bushes. Board approved the request.

The Meeting was adjourned at 9:28 p.m. Next meeting will be at Shalom Park on Wednesday, July 20th at 7 p.m. (revised to July 27th)
