1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at Shalom Park at 7:04 p.m. by President Barbara Harrington.
Board Members Present: Barbara Harrington, Bob Meyer, Norm Arlt, Randy Simpson, Jan Guerra, Ron Adams, Dave Kline, Cindy Wagner
Board Members Absent: Curt Krall
2. Unfinished Business:
* Picnic – There was a motion by Randy Simpson, second by Ron Adams to move the Picnic to September 18th from the 11th. The motion passed unanimously. Picnic will be on September 18th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Board will cook hamburgers and hot dogs and Spiff Awards will be given out beginning at 4: 30 p.m. Food will begin at 4:50 p.m. At 5:30 there will some games for the children. It was suggested that people RSVP by Sept. 11th for the Annual Picnic so the proper amount of food could be purchased.
* Spiff Awards – Winners will be notified by September 4th that they have won something.
* Annual Meeting/New Board Members – A proxy ballot for new Board Members and sample will be inserted in the AG Gazette. An additional 25 copies will be brought to the Annual Meeting. Barbara will provide a tentative agenda for the Annual meeting tp be included in the Gazette.
3. New Business
* Fall Dumpster: Ron Adams made a motion with a 2nd by Bob Meyer that a Fall Dumpster weekend be held September 30, October 1 and 2nd. The motion passed unanimously.
* Straw Poll regarding a new AG Website: The board decided to conduct a straw poll at the Annual Meeting to see if there was an interest in a more customized and expanded AG Website that would not be part of “Neighborhood Link”.
* Straw Poll Regarding Recreational Vehicles:The board decided to conduct a straw poll at the Annual Meeting regarding the "tolerance level" of seasonal recreational vehicles.
Board Reports:
* Barbara wondered where the new “Keep Kids Alive – Drive 25” signs were. Randy Simpson responded that they had not been ordered yet.
* Bob reported there was a rape suspect at large in the Metro Area and that possible crimes related to this suspect had occurred within 4 miles of Andover Glen.
* Bob thought the Spiff program seemed to be getting people out and that there was lots of impressive homes and it would be hard to pick winners.
Nothing to report.
Jan reported that all AG homes had made dues payment and that no new liens would have to be filled this year related to dues payments.
Reported that there were now 4 homes for sale in Andover Glen.
Absent.
* Norm and Emerald Isle built mulch beds by tennis courts.
* Reset C clock 3 times due to lightning.
* Emerald Isle contract billing was $1349 for July. Did mulching in lieu of mowing.
* Edgewater billing $0.
* Water billing – May= $856, June=$1,085, July $1,900 (ran daily)
* Turned off water 3 times after rainfall.
* Randy requested that any items for the Gazette be sent to him as soon as possible.
* Reported was expecting a new requests for a roof.
The Meeting was adjourned at 9:17 p.m. The next Regular Board meeting will be the Annual Meeting to be held at Sagebrush Elementary School Cafeteria on September 19th at 7 p.m.
