Andover Glen Homeowner’s Association Meeting Minutes
July 21, 2004

1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at the home of Randy Simpson, at 7:02 p.m. by President Barbara Harrington.

Board Members Present: Jan Guerra, Ron Adams, Randy Simpson, Barbara Harrington, Norm Arlt

2. General Business:

Discussion of issues related to rebuild of monument: Barbara gave the board an update of issues related to the rebuild of the monument. All major issues have been solved and the contractor should begin construction at any time, once a permit is issued by the City.

Discussion of possible 2nd Dumpster Rental Weekend: Discussion regarding the possibility of a 2nd weekend for rental of a large dumpster for the neighborhood. Board voted in favor of having a 2nd weekend September 24th-26th.

2. Board Reports:

President & Wecloming - Barbara Harrington:
* Reported that she attended a neighbor to neighbor roundtable held by the city.
* Said she received a request for a 2nd Garage Sale weekend. After discussion the board voted against the proposal.
* Reported an error in the last newsletter regarding the new monument description. Is not to be a v-shape, but will be a straight on monument.
* Reported an error in the last newsletter in which $140 expense for training was left out of 2004-2005 budget as reported.
* Reported that 2 homes are currently for sale in the area.
Vice President – (vacant)

Treasurer – Jan Guerra
Reported that 11 homes still had not paid their dues. Warnings have been sent out and if payment is not received, the lien process will start with addresses published in the August newsletter.

Safety – Dave Kline (absent)

Grounds - Norm Arlt (as reported by Quink Arlt):
· Trying to avoid water surcharges. Received an increase in maximum gallons at tier 1 up to 1,860,000 gallons from the current 530,000 gallons.
· Repaired irrigation clock C.
· Is building mulch beds by Tennis courts, north fence.
· Installed replacement for $232 + shipping.
· Norm replaced floodlight bulb at entrance.
· Received truckload of mulch from the City.
· Will rent mulcher to take care of brush from trimming and dead tree.

Secretary – Randy Simpson
· Asked for any articles for the newsletter
· Brought up the issue of exploring if the community could become a gated community. Said he would research the legality and procedures with the City and report back to the board in the future.

Social – Curt Krall (absent)

Preservation – Ron Adams
· Said he would write an article for the newsletter related to residents parking boats, and other “toys” on the streets for long period of time in the area.

· The meeting was adjourned at 8:55 p.m. with the next meeting scheduled for August 18th, 2004 at 7 p.m. at Ron Adams’ home.
