Andover Glen Homeowner’s Association Meeting Minutes
Annual Meeting
January 20, 2004

1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at the home of Ron Adams at
7:08 p.m. by President Terry Allen.
Board Members Present: Norm Arlt, Jan Guerra, Ron Adams, Randy Simpson, Barbara
Harrington, Terry Allen
Others Present: None.
2. General Business:
Disscussion of Rebuilding of Entryway Monument: A general discussion was held on
the rebuilding of the entryway monument destroyed by a motor vehicle collision
with it in December of 2003. It was reported that the party responsible for the
damage had been identified because of the actions of another motorist. The
insurance company of the guilty party will be paying for the reconstruction of
the monument based on it’s previous design. Any additional upgrades or changes
to the monument costing more money will have to be paid for by the Association.
Barbara Harrington will be investigating the procedures with the State of
Colorado (because Parker Road is a state highway) and the City of Aurora on
getting permits to rebuild the monument. She will follow up with this
information at February’s meeting.
The Board voted to thank the good Samaritan who stopped to assist the young
woman who ran into our monument. Without his assistance, a police report may
have never been filed. The board voted to send him a $50 gift certificate to a
local restaurant.
Oher General Business Issues:
Some Discussion was held on how the Association ought to invest certain monies
for the upcoming year. It was decided to invest a portion of it ($15,000) in 1
year CD’s and the remainder ($15,000) in 2 year CD’s.

Terry lead the discussion on what action to take on rebuilding the new monument
(see general business above).
Vice President – (vacant)
Welcoming -Barbara Harrington
· 1 home for sale in area
· Application made for a steeple at the Church of the Later Day Saints on
Chambers just south of Smoky Hill Road.
· The Residents of Olive Glen Villas (behind the 24 hour fitness on Parker Road)
have applied for permission to install a variety of security fencing for their
community.
· Welcomed Donny and Alecia Burns and their two children Rico and Lance to the
community at 14334 E. Layton Pl. Donny is a Marine and trains reservists and
Alecia is a stay-at-home mom.
· Barbara initiated a new column to appear in the Gazette entitled “Comings and
Goings”
Treasurer – Jan Guerra
· Initiated the discussion on how to invest certain cash the Association had on
hand. (see general business above).
· Submitted monthly financial statements for the Association.
Safety – Dave Kline (absent)
Grounds - Norm Arlt:
· Norm, Quink, and Susan Stacy put up the Holiday decorations.
· Norm and Quink took down the Holiday decorations.
· Ordered a truckload of mulch from the City of Aurora.
· Ron Adams replaced 3 wind-broken fence posts along Parker Road.
· Rubble from monument damage hauled away for $225.
· To present Mini-grant on February 10 at 6 p.m. in the Aurora Room at 15151 E.
Alameda Parkway

Social – Curt Krall (absent)
Preservation – Ron Adams
· Property Improvement Request submitted for a new roof for 4861 S. Carson St.
Tri-laminate shingles to be put on.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. with the next meeting scheduled for
February 25th at 7 p.m. at Norm Arlt’s home.
